Helicopter Twirls Wildly into Palm Fronds at Frequented Southern California Coast
An aircraft flying over a well-attended coastal shoreline suddenly commenced twirling wildly, finally losing altitude and plunging into a line of palm fronds as onlookers looked on.
Videos shared on the internet show the helicopter beginning to twirl over the beach then falling towards the perimeter of the shore, where it becomes wedged among palm trees and a set of stairs adjacent to the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Update
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five persons were rushed to the hospital involving two individuals who were in the chopper and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the incident on that day.
Three persons on the street were hurt. Information on their condition were still under review.
What led to the incident was still under investigation.
