I will stamp all over 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really proceeding.
